Executive Chef and Co-Owner, David Tetzloff, has been cooking up unique, delectable dishes with G. Michael’s Bistro & Bar for more than 10 years. Chef Tetzloff creates everything from scratch, using the freshest quality ingredients and his signature southern-inspired “low-country” flair.
Tetzloff earned his B.A. in English from Miami University of Ohio in 1994, and his A.D.S. in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina in 1996. His passion for cooking and restaurant management stemmed from working at several restaurants in college and culinary school, including Skippers Pub in Oxford and Athens, Ohio and Slightly North of Broad and Slightly Up the Creek in Charleston. Chef returned to Columbus in 1999 to join G. Michael’s Bistro & Bar as sous chef.
Chef Tetzloff creates a new menu each season, with innovative, unique ingredients and preparations. He enjoys creating and preparing pork dishes especially, because the meat is so versatile and the mild taste works well with most palettes. One of his signature pork entrees is the Southern fried pork chop.
Chef Tetzloff lives in Bexley with his wife of 13 years and his two young children.
